kenya airways kisumu: Kenya Airways has said that flights in and out of Kisumu International Airport have returned to normal.
This came after Thursday evening’s bird strike, which resulted in a plane being temporarily stuck on the runway.
According to KQ, the plane landed safely in Kisumu but could not fully exit the runway as the bird strike affected the aircraft’s operating component.
The passengers were safely evacuated and an inspection was carried out declaring the runway safe.
However, the flight was cancelled twice.
Flights in and out of Kisumu International Airport are operating on schedule. Kenya Airways said in a statement that the KAA, together with the KCAA, carried out the inspection and declared the runway safe for use.
Efforts are currently underway to fully restore the aircraft for operations.
